BOYS RULE!

BOYS RULE!

It's no secret that I love Zara. When I was pregnant we were living less than a 5 minute walk from the Stephens Green store. I went there nearly everyday and just stood around the kids section for AGES! (I'm sure the staff were wondering who the weirdo was in the corner, eating dry bread from her handbag!) I won't lie, it was always the pretty dresses that made me smile. I used to just stand there and imagine dressing up a little girl, just like me.

So when Tom arrived into the world apart from obviously being ridiculously happy, obsessed with him and so unbelievably grateful that he was healthy. I was also like, oh, there are NO nice clothes for boys. I know, I know, it's ridiculous, it's only clothes but it's just for those first couple of months during the whole "show him to EVERYONE" phase. You want him looking his cutest at all times! This is the period of time where everyone you meet is like.. "oh my god, look how tiny he is, he's beautiful, he's so good, congratulations etc, etc, etc". (We're now currently experiencing the "hide him from everyone" phase. This happens when you notice peoples well wishes turning into nervous twitches and panicked faces hoping that we are not going to lump in beside them. I bear no grudge, I was once that person.)

Anyway, about 4 days after I had Tom, I ventured into Zara and for the first time I actually looked at the boys clothes. I fell in love straight away! I had no idea how amazing they would be. I love the way nearly all of the trousers are like leggings so they are really soft on his little legs and he can move around easily. I find that jeans and shirts are a little restrictive especially in the early days when they sleep so much. I'm always making sure his clothes are soft and comfortable. The clothes are cool too, like I would actually wear some of the things they have in the kids section. These are some images of the latest collections, how gorgeous is everything? Most of it is fairly cheap too, the leggings generally come in between €7 -€10 and the t-shirts between €3-€10.

FYI, this is not an ad, just a girl who loves Zara. You can shop some of the looks below...
