CHRISTMAS DAY STYLE

CHRISTMAS DAY STYLE

My Mam always took such care getting us all ready for Christmas Day (and Easter Sunday and St Patricks Day and basically just for mass every week!). We would always have our hair in "rags" the night before, brand new clothes on special days, matching ribbons in our hair and the shiniest of shoes.

I suppose in a little way that has stuck with me. So the first thing I look for when I start my shopping is clothes for all of us for Christmas Day. I like to feel a bit festive (but not gimmicky), a little dressy (but comfortable) and, most importantly, I like to make sure there is plenty of room for the best dinner of the year!

So I've scoured the web for some of my current favourites! I've included dresses, knits, skirts and trousers, depending on how dressy or casual you want to go. I would probably wear tights with most of these (ain't nobody wants to see my corned beef legs - especially in December). I think you can definitely buy something that might seem a little too racy for hanging out with the relations - but pairing it with a polo neck and some opaque tights for Christmas Day changes it completely! You can then wear it solo for a night out over the festive season! Voila! Two birds, one stone.

Just don't forget to get your post sent to your mammy's so that the hubby won't be giving out! Oh, just me then?
